Berlin can be a grim, unfriendly city, especially in the winter. If you Berliners even remember what that is, what with never-ending summers like the last two ones. I digress. So, errr, Berlin can be harsh and grumpy. This, however, does not hold true for the neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg, which went through a massive change over the last decade. A change not welcomed by everybody, granted, but hey, it is what it is.
The Overhauled Facades of a Family-Friendly Neighborhood
The thoroughly overhauled streets and facades and the spacious apartments make Prenzlauer Berg one of the prettiest, most family-friendly neighborhoods of the German capital and — that comes with the territory — a very vegan-friendly one, as well.
Not too surprising that one of the new plant-based hotspots, Tribeca Ice Cream, is located right here in the heart of the Berg. So before that crazy summer comes to an end, we wanted to urge you to visit Tribeca and try their frozen goods.
You know you want to.
“This is superfood-charged nice-cream all the way.”
Pistacio Lucuma. Salty Maca Caramel. Coconut Ash. Hazelnut Baobab.
It’s not hard to tell that this is not your go-to joint when you’re in the market for a plain sugar overdose. Tribeca is not your regular child snatcher ice cream parlor and their very creative flavors kind of give it away, no?
And they deliver. Using various plant-based “milk”-variations as base, every flavor of Tribeca Ice Cream is made by adding filtered water, coconut oil, cocoa butter and then either coconut sugar, rice syrup, raw cane sugar or maple syrup. No industrial processed sugar ever.
This is superfood-charged nice cream all the way. If you’re a health-nut with a sugar-tooth: Dream come true!
