All major roads in Spain originate in Madrid. And the path on which one of its hometown brands, Lefrik, is one of common sense. This maker of urban bags, backpacks, and crossbodies started with a simple premise:

“Why use valuable resources when you can reuse what’s already been produced?”

Lefrik’s entire product line is made from plastic waste. Their tech collection caught our eye, so we take a closer look at how it embodies their brand ethos and their timeless style.

Shot at the Faculty of Information Sciences in Madrid, the lookbook for Lefrik’s tech collection captures the essence of the capsule:

Creating something practical but staying true to the brand’s principals.

Commute in Style

While many of our commuting patterns have changed as of late, having staple pieces that make our daily movement easier will always be a necessity. That’s just what Lefrik set out to do with this collection as captured in the photography shown here.

The exposed concrete facade and massive cylindrical towers of the brutalist Faculty of Information Sciences in Madrid provide the perfect backdrop to appreciate materiality and geometry of the range of styles and colors of these Lefrik looks.

Waterproof, Versatile, Sustainable

Instant appreciation goes to the reflective panels and waterproof materials. These technical details afford versatility to the bags no matter the weather, day or night. Then of course what brings everything full circle: everything is made from recycled PET bottles waste.

“75% less Co2 emissions, 90% less water use.”

Compared to virgin polyester, Lefrik’s fabric creates 75% less Co2 emissions and reduces water use by 90%, says the brand.

What’s more: The whole range of colorful, diverse products is made using just two (GRS-certified) fabrics, which allows Lefrik to reduce their carbon footprint even further, while increasing production efficiency. Talk about ‘tech’!

Common Sense Makes Better Business

With each collection, and their action campaigns, Lefrik shows us that all it takes is some common sense to show there’s a better way to doing business.

For a staple piece that makes a statement for the planet, head over to Lefrik and check all their styles to fit your every day.
